For a client in Kenya, we built 3 mobile weigh bunkers for grain, coal and clinker. Each weigh hopper, weigh hopper or batch weigher was completely designed and assembled by our own employees in Belgium.
After a thorough inspection, we disassembled the bunkers again. Ready to be shipped to their final destination in Kenya. The transport required no less than 14 exceptional transport trailers and 11 containers.
Once the weigh bunkers safely reached their destination, local workers neatly assembled the 3 behemoths under Meyland’s supervision.
Everything went smoothly, and the batch weighers were commissioned in the meantime.
What makes these weigh bunkers special?
- They are 13 meters high and weigh 90 tons each.
- Generators allow the weighing bunkers to operate completely autonomously.
- They are remotely movable by remote control.
- The weighing bunkers can weigh up to 800 tons per hour, up to 20 tons per batch.
- The weighing system is calibrated.
- The built-in conveyors are 1200 mm wide and have a dust extraction system.
